The Center for Independence offers a variety of programs and services to assist people with disabilities live more independently. All of our services are free (some of the recreation programs have a small fee associated) and available to people with disabilities. Please contact us to set up an appointment.

Housing & Direct Services for Independent Living Program
We offer housing location assistance, nursing home transition, case management, benefit advocacy and application assistance. We also help with disability hearings, medical advocacy, grant assistance, durable medical equipment, daily living skills training, support group classes, information and referrals. Find out more...
Rurally Located? We have Outreach Services
In CFI’s service territory, we attend human service council meetings, provide in-home services, demonstrate assistive technology, perform benefits counseling and home safety assessments. We also have a satellite office located in Montrose. Find out more...
